CARE INSTRUCTIONS
A Halo is made to be worn, lived in and kept for years. A little care will preserve its shape, texture and character.
Pick up your hat by the crown, rather than the brim. Repeatedly pinching or pulling the brim can alter its shape over time.
HANDLE WITH INTENTION
Our felt hats can handle a light shower, but should not be exposed to heavy rain. If your hat gets wet, gently shake off excess water, reshape it by hand and leave it to dry naturally, brim-side up, away from direct heat.
KEEP IT DRY
AVOID HEAT & LONG SUN EXPOSURE
Never leave your hat in a hot car, near a radiator or in direct sunlight for extended periods. Heat can shrink or distort felt, straw and leather details.
Use a soft brush or dry, clean cloth to remove surface dust. For small marks on felt, use a slightly damp cloth and blot gently — never rub. Straw and raffia should be cleaned only with a soft dry cloth.
CLEANING
When not being worn, keep your Halo in its dust bag and box, in a cool, dry place. Make sure it is supported so the brim stays level and its shape is protected. Avoid placing anything on top of the box or allowing it to be crushed by other items.
STORE IT PROPERLY
For short journeys, wearing your hat is often the safest way to protect its shape. For longer travel, or when you prefer not to wear it, carry it in its box whenever possible — ideally as hand luggage. Avoid placing your hat in checked luggage or crushing it beneath other items.
TRAVELLING WITH YOUR HALO
Hats are made to acquire stories, but sometimes they need a reset. For reshaping, repairs or care advice, contact us at info@the-halo-lab.com.
